ACEC New Mexico Luncheon: Understanding Indemnification Risk for Engineering Firms
Tuesday, May 19 | Lunch at Tomasita’s

Join ACEC New Mexico for an important lunchtime discussion focused on indemnification provisions and risk exposure for engineering firms operating in New Mexico.

Following recent conversations with legal and industry professionals, this session will provide practical guidance on how New Mexico law impacts contractual indemnification language, including the protections already established under NMSA 56-7-1, which limits overly broad indemnification clauses.

Kevin M. Sexton, Partner at Resnick & Louis, P.C., will participate in the discussion, offering legal insight on reviewing commonly used client contracts and indemnification provisions.

This session is designed to help educate member firms, principals, project managers, and legal counsel on best practices for reviewing contracts, understanding statutory protections, and identifying language that may warrant further legal review.
